The Story of Leelaboti
Our Story
Leelaboti began in 2017 not as a company, but as a single Facebook page โ a quiet act of faith by a young woman named Jannatul Ferdoush. A commerce graduate with an artist's eye, Jannatul had always been drawn to the beauty of design, and she carried an unwavering belief that Bangladeshi women deserved jewellery that was authentic, elegant, and deeply personal. With nothing more than a love for pearls and a handful of handcrafted pieces, she opened Leelaboti's first digital doors and invited the country to discover it.
What followed was years of organic, hard-won growth. Between 2019 and 2025, Leelaboti earned its name one customer at a time โ through word-of-mouth trust, personal relationships, and the honest craftsmanship behind every piece. Balancing motherhood, a teaching career, and a growing business, Jannatul nurtured Leelaboti from a modest Facebook shop into a beloved community brand, known for its handcrafted pearl jewellery rooted in Bangladeshi tradition and made for the modern Bangladeshi woman.
As the brand's community grew, so did its ambitions. In 2026, Leelaboti entered a new chapter. Syed Sadab Bin Noor, a full-stack developer and Computer Science student, single-handedly designed and built leelaboti.com โ a complete e-commerce platform with secure user accounts, product management, a seamless shopping cart, and integrated payments โ bringing Leelaboti's storefront online for the first time and opening it to customers across the country.
In the same year, Zayeed Al Karim, a business leader with more than two decades of experience in fintech and global commercial partnerships, joined as Managing Director & Co-Founder, bringing the strategic vision and market expertise needed to grow Leelaboti from a cherished local name into a nationally recognized brand.
Today, Leelaboti stands where artisan craft meets modern enterprise: a founder's creative vision, an engineer's digital craftsmanship, and a strategist's commercial discipline, working together toward one shared purpose โ to build Bangladesh's most trusted and celebrated pearl jewellery brand, one handcrafted piece at a time.
